Beautiful Cyndee. No mist here and that's a good thing because when the fog (mist) moves in it's dreadfully cold and miserable. All that we have now is SNOW with more rain on the way shortly. Have a great remainder of the weekend. BTW, I bit the bullet and am working on the WS. %$%$# it's not fun.
Very peaceful and relaxing....should be a wallpaper for your computer :)
Great photo. Just what I needed on a Sunday!
Ginger, this was taken right as sun was coming up and Ted & were driving by kinda fast as I said "Pull over NOW I have to get this photo!" Well it was near a rest stop and I had to run about 1/2 mile back to the lake, I know people were driving by thinking what the heck??? Just another day in my life, lol. I know you can do it, keep me posted, ok?
Kelly, you took the words right out of my brain! I like your sign off.
This is such a lovely photo, Cynthia! I would have a run a whole mile for this one! But then I'd probably have been too late to capture this so perfectly....
Well done...no matter how far you had to go to get it...it was worth it! It looks like a painting.
That is just beautiful and I'm glad you jogged back for it. I could look at this all day. We get mist on Sinclair near the power plant where the water is so much warmer than the air around it, but it rarely occurs naturally in other places on the lake. I'll have to keep my eye out for it. And Ella did go beautifully with it too.
Aaron, sorry you slipped in while I was commenting. It was as beautiful as it looks!
Debbi, I know I looked like a goof but I didn't care and was really surprised no one stopped to see if I was running away from Ted, lol! No adjustments needed, it looked exactly as pictured.
Sharon, thanks, my poor Ted is always so accommodating when I yell STOP!
Miss Tammy Tot, Well I had my camera in my lap so Ted knew the drill, lol. Yes keep your eye out for it on your part of the lake! Thanks, I though of Ella singing that tune when I saw the outcome of the photo too! Great minds and all that stuff ;)
Hi Cyn, Ah sigh...what a spectacular photo, I love the misty colors - very nice shot! I read your comments how you ran back for it, it was well worth it:-)
Hello my friend-Long time no chat. Hope you are doing well. I have missed you. Working two jobs has kept me hopping. I love your pic. There was a place back home called Boldt Castle and a photographer caught it with a lot of fog and mist and it was so beautiful. Have a great week. <SMILE>
Cynthia, Thanks for dropping by my blog, You take lovey pictures. Many of my posts have Mountain scenes in them drop back by sometime and I'll do the same. Steve
Mary, I was a huffin' and a puffin' but I just had to get the shot! Thanks for stopping by and for your nice words!
Long time no read Miss Sharon Lee, I've not been here on AR regularly for a few months also. Work ugh, it gets in the way of fun sometimes. Now when we can combine them then bingo!
Steve, Thanks I'm an amateur shutterbug just havin' fun. Yep I've visited your blog before but my avatar changed so you may not remember me, but I'll keep tabs on you! That was a fun post you did!
Cynthia, You captured a beautiful moment....at a wonderful time. There is something calming and peaceful I see in this picture.
Cynthia - You have the gift of finding the perfect photo opp! Fog or mist can have a very dramatic impact when capturing a scenic photo. You have gift girl, get amateur out of your vocabulary, you hear?! Keep those photos coming. ;-)
Cynthia- now that's what I call going above and beyond the call of duty! Asbolutely beautiful shot.
This is almost like steam coming off boiling water =) Your friend on the west coast, Paul
Love the mist and the foggy days as much as any other day.
Morning Carole, I saw felt the same way as you, even though I was in a frenzied rush to catch the moment before it slipped away!
Morning Judy, You are waaay to kind, I can see the moment but capturing it is another thing altogether. Just when I think I have the perfect shot it turns out not so good. Oh well there's always next time, I think to myself. I delete more than I keep but I so appreciate your compliments! It means a lot :)
Morning Kathy, I looked like a nut running by the side of the highway but it was all worth it in the end. Thank you!
Morning Paul, You're oh so right, it did look like that! Love your signature line by the way :)
Morning Gene, You know what? I do too, nature gives us such beauty even on a misty foggy day, we just have to be aware of whats around us.
Cynthia, your picture is awesome. Its looks so laid back and peaceful.
This picture is a real grabber. Creates a great mood - love the mist and the colors. :)
Just beautiful...very peaceful. Sometimes these kind of scenes make you "stop and smell the roses" even when you didn't think there was time, and there are no roses...so you got a good guy, too? My hubs can pull over on a dime, and do a U-ey almost as fast! Very nice catch, and capture! =o)
Cynthia - Nice photo! It reminds me of the early morning mist on Lake Katchewanooka in Canada.
Diane, Well that's exactly what I saw too as we passed by this photo opportunity. Thanks for stopping by!
Steve, I also enjoyed the soft colors the early morning cast over the lake. I had to snap fast so I'm glad it came out, thanks for the kind words!
Cheryl, You always have a fun way with words, I think we both see roses where there are none ;) Yes I got a good one too, he indulges my brisk shout of "STOP"! Always nice to see you pop in for a chat and thanks for the compliment!
John, The sun just started to peek through the trees so I was lucky to catch this misty shot. There are sure some beautiful area in Canada, I haven't been back there in quite some time. Thanks for the visit!
Cynthis love the photo, It looks steamy and dreamy. Kudos to Tom for putting up with your Kodak moments.
It does look dreamy Lora, I was just hoping it wouldn't turn out fuzzy :) Ted is very good one for putting up my Kodak moments! Thanks for stopping by.
This shot is definitely ready to be featured on "Speechless Sundays." Congratulations. :)
Cyndee ~ Amazing photo. You captured the fog to perfect.
Hey Steve thanks! I sure do appreciate the feature, Woo-Hoo!!!
Monique, thanks for the nice words. You live in a great part of MD, I loved that area! Your recent blog about the trends was spot on!
Holy Mackerel! Tha is as beautiful as it is serene! Thanks!
Dear Cynthia, I always love looking at your pictures. They are a reflection of your love and passion.
Very nice photo, thanks for taking that morning jog back down the road so you could share this! Your husband must be a sweetie!
Russell, This scene was just begging me to snap it's photo and it was my pleasure to oblige ;) Thanks for stopping by!
Barbara, Well you know what? I love that you are taking time out of your busy day to view them, thanks!
Laura, What I dopimento know from doing the little run was I am out of shape, time to get back to the cardio routine :D And Ted is a real sweetie, thanks for the visit!
Whaat a great photo, I love this misty sunrise lake shot. Thank you for sharing.
Hey Morgan, you and me both. Sunrises remind me of a fresh beginning and all the possibilities it can bring. Thanks for stopping by!
Wow ! What a peaceful, yet mysterious shot you captured Cyn !
This is one that deserves a frame and a spot on the wall me thinks !!Cheers Cynthia !
Hey Sheldon, I love the early morning shots!
Thanks for taking us along to visit your Mum, I haven't been to France so I enjoyed your photos immensely. I'm hoping the best for her and I bet she was thrilled to you.
...thank you for the kind words, and yes she seemed happy to see her only child ;o)
Glad you enjoyed popping along with me on my journey through my blog !
I was all wide awake and ready to Play in the Rain, and now I'm feeling sleepy again. Misty days do that to me, even virtual misty days. LOL
That's very pretty. I saw you note about running back to get it. You're lucky there was still a shot to take, sunrise and sunset seem to move so fast!
Salut Sheldon, I'm sure your visit was comforting for her. I did enjoy learning along on your trip. There are few people I know living in France as well. As always, it's nice to see you visit my blog!
LOL@Russel, These kind of setting do this to me too, kinda dreamy like! Thanks for stopping by.
Hi Doreen, The sun was about midway through the trees and I was running back as fast as I could! You are right, I thought I was going to miss the shot because the scene changes with a blink of an eye. Thanks for the visit.
It's a peaceful tranquil moment in time. I can see myself thinking and mentally planning with the quire serenity of the location.
Leolinda, I have to laugh because getting this photo was anything but tranquil, talk about irony! Thanks for the visit.
Congratulations on a lovely shot....wish I was closer to water.
Cynthia- the colors are beautiful like a soft watercolor.
Hi Emelyn, But you have those majestic mountains in your area!
Hi there Kathy, I was surprised this shot came out that way because it does resemble a watercolor, very perceptive.
Hi Cynthia, just checking in to see what's new. Have a good day!
What a great capture of dawn this is! It is like a fairy tale ending to the day. :)
Hey Russell, There always new stuff going on here but I'm not a consistent blogger :( Thanks for checking in!
Hi Gerry, It was so beautiful in person too, I seem to have good luck getting subject matter in the early moring hours. You are right, it does look like it could belong a fairytale book. Au revoir mon ami!
Cynthia, I read through the comments and maybe I missed it but where was the picture taken.
Hi Marchel, You and were visiting that rascal Russell's blog at the same time!
This photo was at Lake Hartwell in SC as I was traveling back to MD in Dec.
Hi Cyn, Ahhhh everytime I see that photo, the stress melts away. I had to stop back by and wish you a terrific weekend!
It's kinda dream like Mary isn't it? Thanks for the visit, I always enjoy our banter :) :) :)
Great shot but I want to know how you got that butterfly to stay on your sholder?
your friend in Charlottesville Virginia!
What a beautiful picture. You don't give the location. Can you tell us. Enquiring minds want to know.
Hi Charles, Thanks for the kind words on the photo I appreciate it greatly. The butterfly was from this blog if you care to read. I think he liked me, I kinda attract critters!
Hi Carole, Well it was early dawn on Lake Hartwell in SC. It was a great opportunity for me to be a shutterbug that morning! Thanks so much for the visit :)
Cynthia That is an amazing and beautiful photo - your skill with a camera is very evident
Karen, well thanks for kind words, I carry the camera everywhere and when an opportunity presents itself I have to advantage.
Now that I think about it.... this photo is much better therapy than cupcakes. I'll just hang out with your photo for a while today.
LOL Tammy, I hope the photo helps you girl cause that was a whole big bowl of crazy laid at your feet this week!
Absolutely beautiful photo.
Makes me feel very peaceful. Thanks for sharing
Have a great day
Morning Leander, Thanks so much for the kind words, I was happy it turned out without my fingers in the photo ;)
You captured a beautiful photo! Absolutely lovely!
Morning Rita, why thank you. It was a lucky day for me to be able to get this shot!
Cynthia, I understand why you have so many comments, a very nice time of the day, when the day is fresh and the sun is doing its thing of slowly warming things up. Definately set the mood with Ella's help. Thanks. ---Gloria
Hi Gloria, I am lucky enough to have an understanding husband who stops when I say "Ooooh I NEED that shot!" Thanks for the kind words and I agree Ella set the mood for this photo :) Her voice & songs are always current for me.
Cynthia-what a beautiful photo! Looks like a painting!
Debra, when I saw the out come I thought the same thing...hey great minds and all that stuff, lol!
Cynthia - very peacful and serene - a sign of a warmer day to follow
Oh I sure hope so Kathy, it was quite chilly as the mist was rising off the lake that day! Hey we got snow here in Georgia much to my delight!
So where did you take this lovely shot??
Ann Hayden in Wildwood, MO
In Lake Hartwell, SC...very early in the morn!
Cynthia, okay, so I'm a little late commenting on this post...I was going to ask where this is and Ann beat me to it. It really is beautiful, I can only imagine the up close and personal experience was.
Hey there Nick no worries mate about the late comment, I comment on quite a few old posts myself and always enjoy feedback. As you can see I really don't post very often, I'm more of commentor! A fellow AR buddy commented on my first posts not too long ago. How cool was that?
You are right it was even more breathtaking in person, for myself something about the early mornings puts it all in perspective for the day.
